Surrounding the physical body there is another body which interpenetrates it and extends
beyond it. This invisible luminous body which follows the contours of the physical body is called the 'Energy Body.' It is
also known as Bio-plasmic body, or Pranic Body, or Vital Body, or Etheric Body, or Etheric Double, and it is the exact duplicate
of the physical body. The projected part of this body beyond the physical body is also called "Health Aura".
This
Energy Body is non-physical in nature and is made of invisible etheric matter. Both the Energy Body and Physical Body
are so closely related that what affects the one , affects the other. Byn healing the energy body the visible physical body
gets healed automatically.
The function of the Energy
Body is to absrb, distribute, and energise the physical body with 'Prana' through a network of Chakras or Energy Centres and
Nadis. The 'Prana' collected by the Chakras from Ether, Air, Sun, Water or Earth is distributed through the bio-plasmic channel
in the physical body. These4 bio-plasmic channels are also called 'Nadis' (Indian terminology) or Meridians( Chinese
terminology).
In
Chinese ACCUPUNCTURE or ACCUPRESSURE system , the Pranic flow in these
Nadis is manipulated by applying pressure on some selective points in these nadis or Meridians. Normally these Accupunture
points are located whose Nadis or Meridians come close to the surface of the body.Such pointed pressure redistributes the
congested prana or excess prana in the discased part to the other part of the body. In this way blocked meridians or Bio plasmic
channels are cleansed or opened and energy becomes free flowing leading to restoration of health.
Energy body is the
link between Mind and Physical body and is greatly affected by various physical and mental factors taking place in our bieng.
So we can say that Energy, mind, and body act and react on each other.
